Why is this even a thing?

History

I’ve been a wrestling fan for as long as I can remember, catching the bug way back in 1987. But, like many from that era, I eventually drifted away; by 1995, the product had become a little too cheesy for my teenage tastes.

As a result, I completely missed the Attitude Era (doh!), only to rediscover wrestling in 2000. I stuck with it for a few years before bowing out again around 2003 or 2004, and I haven’t really looked back since.

Best Years?

For me, the golden age was undoubtedly 1987 to 1992, with 1990 marking the absolute peak of my fandom. Even now, I find myself revisiting the 1987–1990 period more than any other.

In 2024, I managed to track down every episode of WWF Prime Time, WWF Wrestling Challenge, and WWF Superstars of Wrestling—the latter being notoriously difficult to find. I’ve been watching every episode of every show in chronological order, and honestly, reliving my youth this way has been pure joy.
